The George Rogers Clark Park offers a personal outdoor experience for every visitor. Bring the family for a picnic by the water or in the shade of a 300-year-old beech-maple forest. Hike 5 miles of nature trails through 250 acres of green meadows and abundant wildflowers, scenic waterways, and bird, deer, and turtle habitats. All ages can fish without a license at Hosterman Lake or take a non-motorized boat out for a relaxing trip across the water. This park offers picnic shelters (reservations available for events), nature walks and fishing. Click the button at the top of this page for a map of the park’s hiking trails.

The Hertzler House Museum

The Hertzler House Museum is open during designated Sundays of each month, May – August and for special events (check Facebook for updates). Hours during the designated Sundays will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and will feature something different each month. Additional small group tours may be arranged by calling the Hertzler House at 937-854-1046. Admission prices are as follows:

  • $10 for adults ($5 during Fair at New Boston)
  • $5 for students in grades 7+; $1 for students grades K-6 ($1 all students during the Fair at New Boston)

Park Shelters

Four shelters are available to rent at George Rogers Clark Park park. Each shelter has a grill, but no water or electricity. Alcohol is NOT permitted in the park and we ask you bring your bagged trash to the white barn on your way out of the park to minimize animals scattering it around the park at night. Thank you!

  • Demint Shelter – accommodates up to 48
  • Silverheels Shelter – accommodates up to 36
  • Braman A-Frame Shelter – accommodates up to 24
  • Campbell A-Frame Shelter – accommodates up to 24

Please park in the spaces provided. No parking in the grass or a ticket may be issued.
