The Clark County Park District encompasses land teeming with natural beauty and echoes of historical events. The Park District manages over 700 acres of parkland at seven nature preserves  and 16 miles of bike trails throughout Clark County, Ohio. Naturalist Intern

Starting Pay: $8.30/hour

Position:

The Clark County Park District has a paid internship, which will start May 7, 2018 and run to October 19, 2018. The position is a part time position at 24 hours a week. The Internship will be offered to a college student, currently enrolled in a related field of study (biology, natural sciences, environmental sciences, geology).

Basic skill requirements:

Basic computer knowledge, skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Calendar. Must be able to work with children, volunteers and the public and to work independently.  Candidate must be able to lift objects up to 50lbs, and work in all weather conditions. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a Valid Driver’s License and be insurable to operate Park District vehicles. Must be willing to work some weekends. Successful completion of post-offer/pre-employment background check, drug screening test and driving history check.

Conservation Internship

Starting Pay: $8.30/hour

Position:

Are you a college student interested in working outdoors to get some experience in your field? The Clark County Park District is offering 2 Conservation Internship positions, starting in May. The position is a part time position at 24 hours a week. The Internship will be offered to a college student, currently enrolled in a related field of study.

Qualifications include:

Basic computer knowledge, skilled with Microsoft Word, operation of digital camera. Familiarity with basic maintenance equipment. Candidate must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs, and work in all weather conditions.Candidate must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license and be insurable to operate Park District vehicles. Must be willing to work occasional weekends or evenings.
Successful completion of post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background and driving record check.

Equipment:

Zero turn mower, chain saw, gas weed eater, hand tools, leaf blower.
